A Redipods cabin is essentially a dwelling that is reduced in size, so it has a smaller footprint. They can also be known as micro dwellings, tiny houses, granny flats, or can also be extensions of your current property.

The production of any Redipods cabin model takes between 12 and 14 weeks. Allow one extra week for installation if required.

Yes, Redipods cabins are perfectly suited for regional locations with ample access. Think large properties, farms, wineries, camping grounds… anywhere with multiple dwelling requirements is suited to Redipods.

Every site is unique and the Redipods team will assess yours at our first meeting to ensure that it is suitable for a Redipods cabin. We will determine whether it is accessible for a tilt truck or crane.  The team can also help with plotting the Redipods cabin on your site with the setbacks that your local council require.

You will require formal building approval, either a Development Approval (DA) or the Complying Development Certificate (CDC), Building approvals for your Redipods cabin will ensure it aligns with the city’s local planning scheme and residential design codes. 

We recommend speaking to your local council for advice on your area.

Speak to your local council about what services and requirements are specific to your local area. You will want to also consider, is there a connection to mains sewer and water or will you require septics and a water tank? Septics will require a separate health application to council before our building permit will be issued.

For a fee, we can also assist with permits for your Redipods cabin.

Our builds comply with the Australian Building Standards and are constructed right here in our Perth factory. We practice strict, efficient quality control.

If your land is within the Perth metro area or South West region, Redipods can offer a delivery & installation service.

The cost of supply and installation can be provided once your property address and cabin design and placement is confirmed and the route is assessed. These costs vary based on the site, location, size and weight of the Redipods cabin. 

Electrical and plumbing work must be executed by a certified professional. Alternatively, ask us for a quote to execute these connections for you.

Thanks to our clever design, each Redipods model enjoys passive heating and cooling. They include ceiling fans and a mini-split air conditioner.

At this stage, Redipods are only available within WA.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required when you sign-up for your Redipods cabin. Progress payments comprise of 40% at 4 weeks, another 40% at 8 weeks and the final 10% on completion.

Commercial FAQs

How long do commercial models take to build?

The production of Redipods commercial models typically takes 12 to 14 weeks, with an additional week for on-site installation if required. Timelines may vary depending on the number of units ordered and the level of customisation.

We’ll evaluate access for delivery via tilt truck or crane and can assist with plotting the ideal placement, ensuring compliance with local council setback requirements.

Formal building approval is required for your Redipods models, either through a Development Approval (DA) or a Complying Development Certificate (CDC). These approvals ensure your building complies with local planning schemes and commercial design codes.

If your commercial site is located within the Perth metro area or South West region, Redipods offers delivery and installation services.

Supply and installation costs will be provided once your property address, building designs, number of Redipods, and placement are confirmed, and the delivery route has been assessed. Pricing varies based on site conditions, location, and the quantity, size, and weight of the Redipods models required.

The payment structure will be outlined and agreed upon as part of the contract terms.
